Volunteers
Needed
Lawndale
Ave.Adoption Fairs are a very important method of introducing the animals of HHAF to the public. Each month an adoption fair is held at the Petsmart that is located on Lawndale Ave in Greensboro, NC. Volunteers bring some of the animals from our shelter so that they can interact with the public and hopefully meet their new “forever family”.
These fairs serve many important purposes for our foundation. The volunteers speak to the public concerning our mission, fundraising, the public can meet the animals, and the animals are allowed to spend time away from the shelter.
At this time HHAF is only able to hold one fair per month. We are hoping to expand this program into other local areas and locations. Volunteers are needed to make this expansion happen. Types of volunteer jobs available for the adoption fairs are as follows:
Coordinator: Plan and Coordinate the Fairs
Transporters: Drive Animals and Supplies To / Back From the Fair Locations
Fundraisers: Plan, Coordinate, and Carry Out Fundraisers during the Fairs
Animal Handlers: Charge and Control of the Animals while at the Fair
Spokesperson: Tell public about the HHAF Mission, Explain Adoption Process… etc
No experience is required for any of the above volunteer positions training will be provided upon request. Only a love of animals and a desire to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals is needed.
Days, Locations and hours are all flexible. If you are interested please contact our office.
