Happy Hills is located in beautiful rural Randolph County. Many things have changed around the shelter in the last two years since
our devasting Easter fire of 2004. Rebuilding has been a slow and long process as the shelter is entirely funded by sponsors and private donations. Even though each animal's length of
stay at HHAF varies we are not intended to be a permanent home, just an "in between" point. The volunteers and staff of our shelter create an environment full of love and care while the
animals wait for their "Forever Families".

PROMOTE A PETWe are inviting all of you to join in our Promote a Pet program. Pick a pet, talk to your friends and co-workers about that pet, print and put up posters, put an ad in the paper, if
you are nearby pick your dog up (and flyers or cards to give interested folks) and take them for a trip to Petsmart, downtown, anywhere they can be seen. Use your imaginations! Then
when your pet is adopted, tell us what worked best and we'll report that to our other Promote a Pet participants! |

![]() Pet Of The WeekWe are happy to have our animals featured on Fox 8 News. Two days every week WGHP Fox 8 features an adoptable pet from several local rescue organizations. You can see HHAF animals on the following days and times. From time to time we are in need of transportation volunteers to transport our pets back and forth to the Fox 8 studios. If you are interested in helping with this please contact our office. Phone: 336-622-3620 email: office@hhaf.org
BUD is a shy, little Corgie/Cocker Spaniel mix. He was rescued from a local shelter where his time had almost run out. BUD is a
little meek but very loving.
BUD was reluctant to lift his head to look at us, but he sure did enjoy a belly-rubbing once he relaxed. He is 7-years-old, so BUD is very
settled. His gentle demeanor will be a terrific complement to a household of all ages.
What BUD needs more than anything is a loving forever home. He has had such a rough life thusfar, and needs the security and trust of a
family. He will offer love and companionship tenfold!
If you have taken a shine to BUD, please contact Happy Hills Animal Foundation at (336) 622-3620 or visit www.hhaf.org. BUD's adoption fee covers his neuter surgery, all vaccinations (including rabies) up to the date of adoption, deworming, heartworm testing
and preventative, microchipping and a 30-day Sheltercare Health Insurance Policy.
Adoption fee: $170.00

Some of our animals here at HHAF have been at our shelter facility for a long period of time. These pets are either considered un-adoptable or less adoptable for
one reason or another. Some are very timid while others have chronic health issues that make them less attractive to adopters.
No matter what your situation is. . . it is your willingness to help that is important. Thanks!!
Yearly Sponsorship is $100
My name is Ebony and I was a feral puppy. I'm terrified of new people so no one wants to adopt me.

Do I Go Home Today© 1991 Sandi Thompson First Annual Randolph County Adoption Festival The first ever combined Adoption Festival was held in coordination with Spay Day USA. This milestone in animal Rescue was held on Feb. 24, 2007 at the Randolph Mall Center Court. The day was a huge success with several Randolph County Animal Rescue Organization in attendence. They included Randolph County Animal Control, Randolph County Animal Shelter, Randolph County Humane Society, NC Equine Rescue, The Dog House Rescue, Ruff Love Rescue, and Happy Hills Animal Foundation. We are all in this together. Although organizations have a variety of mission statements and governments have specific responsibilities, there is plenty of room for everyone to collaborate. This ground breaking festival was a huge success in community education as well as networking among other local Animal Rescue Organizations. |
