Sophie is a very
affectionate gray tabby cat that Bayou Rescue rescued from a hoarding situation
in northern NC. Sophie was living
in a house with over 100 other cats.
She was so appalled by the situation that when she arrived she went
straight to the top of the refrigerator and stayed there. She lived on top of that refrigerator
FOR 2 YEARS. Surprisingly though
she was in pretty good shape when she came down. Staying on top of the refrigerator did
keep her free from fleas and disease that did affect many of the other
cats. Sophie was born
8/1/95. For years she was cared for in a loving
home and had seen the vet regularly.
We think that is why she resisted the illnesses going around the
house. We do not know how Sophie
came to be in this situation but she clearly loves being out of it. Sophie is a really great cat but she
needs a second chance at a forever home. She has been quarantined to my home
office due to my cat’s ill feelings about other cats. My cat Masc will not tolerate other cats
and has already tried to go after her. Sophie doesn’t seem to mind my cat’s
unfriendliness or my dog’s inquiries.
Sophie just wants to be loved.
She chases you down when you enter the room and won’t leave you alone
until you sit down to give her some attention. I am hoping to find her a wonderful home
where she will be loved and showered with a lot of attention. She can be adopted thru Bayou Rescue
which is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Please contact me at 336-263-6772 or
kronnow@bellsouth.net with any
questions if you are interested in adopting. Please pass this along to anyone else
who may be interested.
