All applicants must by 18 years of age or older.
Submitting an application does not guarantee
adoption. HHAF personnel are authorized to make final determination after consultation and at their discretion. There may be a
waiting period between submission of application and adoption being granted, in order to verify information. We reserve the right to ask to see where the animals will be living, do follow up checks
on veterinarian visits and reclaim the pet if the adoption agreement has not been met within given time period unless documentation from a licensed veterinarian is given that it is not in the pet's
best interest for medical reasons.
Only altered pets will be adopted from HHAF. No animals are to be bred or allowed to breed, as this may result in HHAF reclaiming the pet. All animals are to be made and kept current on vaccines and other necessary medical needs as recommended by their veterinarian.
Proper restraint is to be provided to
maintain the animal on your property. HHAF does not approve of and will not adopt to situations of tethering and or chaining. Fenced yards are required for some dog adoptions and are evaluated on an
individual basis.
Animals adopted from HHAF are intended to be a part of your family and kept in a clean and safe environment. HHAF reserves the right to reclaim animal if it is found at large or is not in compliance
with our requirements in addition to local animal control laws.
Cats are to be kept indoors only unless otherwise stated.
